Please read this before checking the list of Veterans or submitting a Veteran's name.
AT THIS TIME THERE IS NO CHARGE TO YOU TO HAVE A NAME ENGRAVED ON THE MONUMENT. It is our intention that no Veteran should have to pay to have their name on the wall. As each monument is completed and has been dedicated, if someone wants to add a name, after the fact, at that time a charge may be incurred.
Any Veteran that served on any of the dates listed below will be listed on the Memorial on that monument. These dates were obtained from the Richland County Veteran's Office. If a Veteran served in more than one era, that name will be listed under each era served, other than Peace Time. If a Veteran is listed under Peace Time, it means the dates of service did not fall under a specific era.
All Veteran's beginning with WWII and after are being verified through the Richland County Veteran's Office. A DD214 form is needed for verification. NOTE: Verification simply means that that Veteran has been found to be honorably discharged from the military. It does not verify the spelling of the name, etc. If the DD214 is not available a date of birth is required. If a date of birth cannot be obtained, permission from the family of that Veteran must make a request to the Richland County Veteran's Office rcvso@co.richland.wi.us that the name of that Veteran be verified.
If a name on the list shows as not being verified, it means that more information (as stated above) is needed. We would like to add all middle initials. EVEN THOUGH A VETERAN SHOWS AS VERIFIED, WE STILL ASK THAT YOU CONTACT US WITH NAME CORRECTIONS SUCH AS SPELLING, ERA SERVED, ETC.

Other Military Operations
Peace Time - Any dates following on any other dates than shown above.
National Guard - Must have a Statement of Service from the WI State Adjutant's Office and served honorably. National Guard will have their names on a separate tile honoring National Guard Veterans. To have your name in a specific era you must have been activated and received a DD214 with the following statement in the remarks sections, Block #18, of the form. "Individual completed period for which ordered to active duty for purpose of post service benefits and entitlements/ordered to active duty in support of (any war or conflict) IAW 10 USC 12302. Must be a discharge with other than dishonorable, bad conduct, or uncharacterized service.
Reservist - Must have a Report of Separation and served honorably. Reservists will have their names on a separate tile honoring Reservist Veterans. To have your name in a specific era you must have been activated and received a DD214 with the following statement in the remarks sections, Block #18, of the form. "Individual completed period for which ordered to active duty for purpose of post service benefits and entitlements/ordered to active duty in support of (any war or conflict) IAW 10 USC 12302. Must be a discharge with other than dishonorable, bad conduct, or uncharacterized service.
